Amy was born and raised in Minnesota and is grateful to be able to live and work there. She began her career in college, working for the NBC affiliate in Fargo-Moorhead. She worked in Minot, North Dakota, and Raleigh, North Carolina before returning to Minnesota to work at KARE-11 and later as VP of News for Bring Me The News, a digital news organization.
Amy returned to TV news after an 8-year hiatus to start a family when she joined FOX9 in 2015.
