Colin Cowherd is an American sports journalist, he is currently working on his sports podcast The Colin Cowherd Podcast. He has worked at both ESPN and Fox Sports.

Cowherd began his career as the play-by-play announcer for the Las Vegas Stars, the Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. He eventually became a sports director at KVBC in Las Vegas, where he was five times named Nevada’s Sportscaster of the Year.
He was the sportscaster of the year in Nevada five times while working at KVBC in Las Vegas. From 1993 to 1995, he was the weekend sports anchor at WTVT in Tampa, Florida. He relocated to Portland, Oregon in 1996 to work as a sports anchorman for KGW-TV.
Cowherd began his broadcasting career as the sports director of Las Vegas television station KVBC and as a sports anchor on several other stations before joining ESPN in 2003, where he hosted a radio show on the ESPN Radio network and became one of the original hosts of ESPN’s television programs SportsNation and Colin’s New Football Show.
Cowherd was suspended by ESPN after making a controversial statement about Dominican baseball players in 2015. He later joined Fox Sports.

On weekdays, Cowherd’s three-hour sports talk show, THE HERD WITH COLIN COWHERD, airs simultaneously on FS1 and the FOX Sports Radio Network.
Cowherd hosted “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” which aired nationally weekdays and was simulcast on ESPNU. Cowherd previously hosted “The Herd,” a popular three-hour morning drive program at Portland, Oregon’s KFXX 910-AM.
In 2013 and 2014, he hosted “Colin’s New Football Show” on ESPN2, as well as a variety of programs on ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPN Classic. He was the first co-host of ESPN2’s “SportsNation” show.
Cowherd joined ESPN Radio in 2004, when his show debuted on the West Coast as an hour-long broadcast. For KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8, he also hosted weeknight sports and Sports Sunday.
Cowherd’s career also includes stints as a sports anchor at Tampa’s WTVT-TV, where he won a local Sports Emmy for “Buc Sunday,” and as sports director at Las Vegas’ KVBC-TV, where he won multiple Nevada Sportscaster of the Year awards.
“You HERD Me!” was a “New York Times” bestseller in 2013, spending five weeks on the list in hardcover. In October 2015, his second book, “Raw: My 100% Grade-A, Unfiltered, Inside Look at Sports,” was released.
