Diana Olick is an American journalist, she is currently working at CNBC as the senior climate and real estate correspondent. Before she joined the station she worked at CBS News as a correspondent. Olick later joined CNBC in 2002 and later became an Emmy Award-winning journalist.

Prior to joining CNBC, Olick worked as a CBS News correspondent for seven years. Olick began her career as a local news reporter at Bangor, Maine’s WABI-TV, Grand Rapids, Michigan’s WZZM-TV, and Seattle’s KIRO-TV. She began her career at CBS in 1994 as a New York-based correspondent for “CBS Evening News with Dan Rather” and “The Early Show.” She also worked on “48 Hours” and “Sunday Morning.”
Soon after joining CNBC in 2002, Olick recognized the rapid rise of the housing market, fueled by investor flipping, and established the network’s real estate beat. She specializes in commercial and residential real estate, as well as the mortgage industry. Olick was at the forefront of reporting on the housing boom, subprime mortgage debacle, ensuing housing crash, and ongoing recovery. She also founded and is the primary author of CNBC.com’s real estate page.
Olick worked for CBS in the New York, Dallas, and Washington, D.C. bureaus, covering stories such as the World Trade Center conspiracy trial, the crash of TWA Flight 800, the JonBenet Ramsey murder mystery, and the trial of Oklahoma City bomber Terry Nichols. She also worked as a freelancer in CBS’ Moscow bureau, where she covered Mikhail Gorbachev’s brief presidential campaign.
