Hutchins is an Atlanta News First anchor. She joined Atlanta News First to co-host the morning show in the spring of 2007. She worked on the show for six and a half years, covering breaking news, community events, and interviewing celebrities before moving to evenings in the fall of 2013.
Tracye previously worked for CBS affiliate KFMB in San Diego, California, before moving to Atlanta. But that was only after four years in Atlanta covering world news events, daily health stories, and entertainment features for CNN Headline News. She was on the air during major breaking news stories such as the Columbia space shuttle breaking up over Texas and the capture of ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.
She has spent the last 30 years covering news all over the country, from hurricanes in Fort Myers, Florida, to 120-degree heat waves in Phoenix, Arizona, and factory closings in Terre Haute, Indiana, to soybean crops in Kirksville, Missouri, where she began her television news career in 1992.
