Jon LaPook is a well-known American physician, who is knowledgeable in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Jon is the Chief Medical Correspondent for CBS News. He is a professor at the NYU School of Medicine.

In 2018, LaPook was a finalist for the George Foster Peabody Award for his two 60 Minutes investigative reports on the gym1953 nastics controversy. In 2007 and 2013, he received two Edward R. Murrow Awards for “Best Broadcast.” He also received a New York Press Club Award in 2015 for the documentary series Doc Dot Com.
