Maria Taylor is an American media personality, she is currently working at NBC Sports. She has also worked at ESPN and SEC Network. Taylor has covered the NBA, NFL, college football and volleyball.

Taylor was the sideline reporter on ESPN2’s weekly Saturday-night primetime college football show in 2013, in addition to covering the Orange Bowl for the second year in a row. For the preceding two years, she worked as an analyst on the NCAA Women’s Basketball Selection Show, the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Preview Show, and ESPN’s coverage of both the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament and the Women’s Volleyball National Championship.
She became a member of the SEC Network in 2014. She worked as a college football reporter for SEC Network alongside commentators Brent Musburger and Jesse Palmer, as well as an analyst for volleyball and women’s basketball.
In 2017, Maria replaced Samantha Ponder on the College GameDay broadcast crew as a reporter and host, and she was an ESPN host and reporter for the College Football Playoff between the University of Georgia and the University of Oklahoma. She then hosted and reported on the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship game between the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia.
Taylor started hosting NBA Countdown, the pre-game show for ESPN’s Friday night and Sunday afternoon NBA games, in 2019. In the midst of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020, ESPN cancelled its original plan for Rachel Nichols’ The Jump to serve as the NBA Finals pregame program, instead naming Taylor’s NBA Countdown the Finals pregame and halftime show.
