Evelyn Taft is a well-known American journalist, she is currently working as the Chief Meteorologist for KCAL 9. She previously worked at KRON 4 in the San Francisco Bay Area as a weather girl.

Evelyn Taft, a Bay Area native, first lived in Los Angeles while attending the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Journalism. Evelyn forecasted the weather for Annenberg’s live newscast while studying Broadcast Journalism and Political Science at USC.
Evelyn’s interest in weather grew after graduation, when she earned a certificate in meteorology from Mississippi State University and joined the news team at KCOY, the CBS affiliate on the central coast, where she worked as a weather anchor, news anchor, and reporter. She spent a significant amount of time reporting from the front lines of several Santa Barbara County wildfires while there. She also worked as a weather forecaster for CBS affiliate KION in Salinas.
