Carolyn Manno is an American media personality, she is currently working at NBC Sports Group as a correspondent and anchor. She joined the station on August 2009. Before Manno joined NBC Sports Group she was an anchor for Comcast SportsNet New England.

NBC Sports commentator Joshua Cooper Ramo was discussing the significance of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s visit to Pyeongchang, South Korea, on Friday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He suggested during the broadcast that Koreans were grateful for Japan’s occupation from 1910 to 1945.
On Saturday, NBC issued an apology statement.
“During our coverage of the Parade of Nations on Friday, we noted that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe made the trip to Korea for the Olympics, representing Japan, a country that occupied Korea from 1910 to 1945, but every Korean will tell you that Japan is a cultural, technological, and economic example that has been so important to their own transformation,” NBC Sports Network anchor Carolyn Manno said. “We understand that these comments offended the Korean people, and we apologize.”
