Logan began presenting on Metro Radio in Newcastle after graduating from university, where she was offered a job as a Sky Sports presenter in 1996. She worked there until 1998, when she moved on to the ITV television network.
Logan’s career took off when she starred in On the Ball. Logan was one of only a few female sports presenters to make the switch to terrestrial television. She presented ITV’s UEFA Champions League coverage after they lost the terrestrial rights to the Premier League, including the 2005 and 2006 finals between A.C. Milan and Liverpool, and Arsenal and Barcelona, respectively.
Logan left ITV for BBC Sport in December 2006 after covering the Rugby World Cup in 2003. Logan also hosted a show called Britain’s Brilliant Prodigies that year, which featured a young Jessie J. She returned to ITV in 2015 for the reality show Flockstars, which she later admitted was her “biggest disappointment” of the year.
Logan began presenting for BBC Sport on January 27, 2007, when he covered the FA Cup fourth round match between Luton Town and Blackburn Rovers. Logan continues to present and report on live football for the BBC, and she also fills in for Gary Lineker on Match of the Day. Logan was the host of Final Score from 2009 to 2013.
She was a pitchside reporter at England matches and reported from the England camp for the 2010 World Cup, Euro 2012, and World Cup 2014.
Logan took over as BBC Sport’s main athletics host. She hosted the World Athletics Championships in 2013, as well as the European Athletics Championships and Commonwealth Games in 2014. She has also served as the host of the annual IAAF Diamond League competition.
Logan has hosted BBC Olympic coverage in Beijing in 2008, London in 2012, Rio in 2016, and Tokyo in 2021. She has also broadcast live coverage of other sporting events, including the 2013 Aquatics World Championships.
