Natascha McElhone Biography
Natascha McElhone is an English actress, she is known for her roles in Ronin (1998), The Truman Show (1998), and Solaris (2002). She has also appeared on television series Showtime comedy-drama series Californication, First Lady Alex Kirkman in the ABC political drama Designated Survivor. McElhone has recently on Paramount + new television series Halo which she takes on the role of Dr. Catherine Elizabeth and Cortana.

Natascha McElhone Career
McElhone began her career in the theatre, with leading roles in Richard III and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Regent’s Park’s Open Air Theatre, as well as The Count of Monte Cristo and The Cherry Orchard at Leicester’s Haymarket Theatre. In 1991, she made her television debut in BBC’s Bergerac, and in 1992, she appeared in an episode of Absolutely Fabulous.
In March 2014, McElhone performed at the Southbank Centre in London.
Dennis Potter’s TV miniseries Karaoke included McElhone in two episodes. Surviving Picasso (1996), in which she co-starred with Anthony Hopkins, was her first major film role. The Truman Show (1998), starring Jim Carrey, was one of her most successful films to date. She played leading parts opposite Brad Pitt in a number of films.
McElhone co-starred in the NBC miniseries Revelations with Bill Pullman (2005). She co-starred with Diana Rigg and Martin Jarvis in a 2006 West End production of Honour at the Wyndham’s Theatre. She later landed a prominent part as Karen in David Duchovny’s Showtime cable television series Californication. McElhone joined Neutrogena as a spokesman in 2009. She provided the voice of Marie in Konami’s video game Castlevania: Lords of Shadow in 2010.
In the cinematic adaptation of Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet (2013), McElhone played Juliet’s mother, Lady Capulet. The film starred Douglas Booth and Hailee Steinfeld, with Damian Lewis as her husband. She played Alex Forrest in Fatal Attraction at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2014.
McElhone played Sarah Churchill in Helen Edmundson’s Queen Anne for the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2015. She was cast with Kiefer Sutherland in ABC’s political drama Designated Survivor in February 2016, and the show premiered in September 2016. In Season 2, she left the show to star in the Hulu series The First.
