Graham Richardson is a Canadian journalist, he is currently the Chief News Anchor for CTV News at Six and afternoon news anchor. Before he assumed his role at CTV Ottawa, Richardson covered Parliament for nearly four years. Richardson headed the Queen’s Park bureau for Global News before joining CTV News.

Richardson anchors the afternoon news on Newstalk 580 CFRA and serves as chief news anchor for CTV News at Six. Every evening at six o’clock, Graham Richardson and Patricia Boal co-anchor CTV Ottawa. In Ottawa, the Ottawa Valley, and all of eastern Ontario, CTV Ottawa has long been the go-to source for news. For its in-depth reporting on the devastating 2017 floods that ravaged the area, CTV Ottawa earned the Bert Cannings award for outstanding newscast large market in 2018.
Before taking on his role as CTV Ottawa’s anchor, Richardson spent almost four years covering the legislature. He reported from several locations, including the NATO summit in Romania, the G-8 meetings in Germany and Japan, official trips to India, Singapore, the Czech Republic, Poland, and the United Nations in New York. Richardson has also covered local, state, and federal elections across the nation.
Richardson covered the Michael Jackson trial, Hurricane Katrina, space shuttle landings, the Mexican election, and the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, while serving as CTV’s Los Angeles Bureau Chief prior to his position on Parliament Hill.
He headed the Queen’s Park bureau for Global News before joining CTV News. Prior to that, under Premier Ralph Klein, he spent eight years in Alberta—four in Calgary and four in Edmonton—covering an incredible time of expansion in that province.
Richardson brings a wealth of domestic and foreign experience to the CTV Ottawa anchor chair, as well as a keen understanding of the city’s politics and the wider broadcast area. Richardson, a graduate of Queen’s University in Kingston, has spent numerous summers relaxing on the sands of Bob’s Lake close to Westport.
