During a recent interview with Charles Payne on Fox Business, the founder of the contentious cryptocurrency project HEX, Richard Heart, was bombarded with inquiries about the business strategy of HEX and how it initially appears to be a Ponzi scheme.
Heart asserted to have developed a more decentralized, transparent, and environmentally friendly form of Bitcoin (BTC). Holders of HEX tokens are advised to keep their investments for the long term because the platform offers yearly percentage yields starting at about 38%.
The project uses the ERC-20 token HEX and the Ethereum network to power its smart contract functionality. Essentially, HEX is a blockchain-based certificate of deposit (CD) that gives the bearer the right to remuneration for temporarily staking his HEX tokens.
According to Heart, a Ponzi scheme is “a fraudulent effort where people are told they are going to get paid more for economic activity that doesn’t really exist… and there is a middle guy who pays you the rewards,” in relation to the claim that it exists.
Heart claims that HEX is identical to Bitcoin in that token holders create their own currency and get payment in accordance with the rules outlined in the Hex smart contract, with no middleman. Heart emphasized that although HEX is not a Ponzi scheme, it may occasionally be viewed as a bubble; yet, historically, the token has always rebounded and reached all-time highs.
