Emilie Akida is an American correspondent for NBC News, she previously worked at FOX 5 News. Ikeda addressed a variety of topics, such as the Georgia primary elections, the 2020 presidential election, the pandemic, the shooting of Ahmaud Arbery, the demonstrations against racial injustice and police brutality, Hurricane Dorian, and numerous tornadoes in the metro Atlanta area.

Before joining WDVM-TV in Montgomery County, Maryland, as a multimedia journalist, anchor, and producer in 2016, Ikeda started her career as a junior reporter and multi-media journalist for the weekend newscasts of Philadelphia’s WTXF-Fox 29.
