Alicia Vitarelli is an American journalist, she is currently working at 6 ABC. She joined the Action News team in October 2010. Prior to joining the station, she worked at News 12 New Jersey, where she was the morning and afternoon anchor for two and a half years.

She admits to feeling a little star struck while speaking with Tom Hanks, one of the many Hollywood A-listers she has interviewed for her daily segment on Action News at 4 called “The Buzz.” Additionally, Alicia co-hosts FYI Philly, a weekly entertainment program on 6abc.
Working so closely with the Action News Big Board has given Alicia the opportunity to bring social media into the newscast in a very special and original way. She has included viewers in the conversation and the storytelling by using Facebook and Twitter.
Alicia relocated to Philadelphia from News 12 New Jersey, where she spent 2.5 years as the morning and afternoon anchor. She also established, presented, and produced two original franchises, including the Emmy-nominated “Best Kept Secrets of New Jersey” and a series about finding deals. Prior to that, Alicia spent six years as an anchor and reporter for NY1 News and Time Warner Cable in New York City.
Alicia has served as the Grand Marshal of the Italian American Festival in North Wildwood, New Jersey, the Italian American Police Society of NJ’s Woman of the Year, and the Italian American Club of East Hanover.
