Avery Hainesy is an American-born Canadian journalist, she is currently working at CTV News as the host of W5. She has three decades of her career as a Canadian journalist.

For the story “The Narco Riviera,” her tenacious reporting earned her the prestigious 2020 Canadian Screen Award for Best Host or Interviewer, News or Information.
