Charissa Thompson is an American media personality and sports journalist, she is known for working as a sportscaster for Fox Sports. She previously worked at ESPN, Versus, as well as for GSN and the Big Ten Network.

When she isn’t in the studio for a sports broadcast, NFL Films show, or podcast, Thompson is a correspondent for the long-running entertainment magazine show “EXTRA,” which she co-hosted beginning in 2014 and has extensive experience interviewing some of Hollywood’s biggest names.
Together with her colleague and good friend, FOX NFL reporter Erin Andrews, she hosts the podcast “Calm Down with Erin and Charissa,” which features their unfiltered conversations about life, gossip, sports, and random topics that pique their interest.
She left FOX Sports in 2010 to work as a host for Versus and Yahoo! Sports across multiple platforms. Thompson hosted Versus’ NHL studio coverage and produced web videos for Yahoo, where he led the website’s presence at the 2010 Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl XLV, and the BCS National Championship. She joined ESPN in August 2011, where she was named one of the hosts for the network’s newly conceived afternoon show, “Numbers Never Lie.”
