Clark Howard is an American podcast host and a consumer expert, he is known for being the host of The Clark Howard Show. He previously worked as a co-host of HLN’s Evening Express.

Howard’s first job was in the travel industry. Howard attended The Westminster Schools in Atlanta before earning a BA in Urban Government from American University in 1976.
Jimmy Carter established his travel agency firm at the age of 25 during his presidency, when the travel sector was deregulated.
He was forced to retire in 1987 amid the sale of the travel agency business he created six years before. He retired to Florida for a few years before returning to Georgia, his native state. During his travels between Georgia and Florida, he was approached by a radio station to provide listeners some guest travel advice.
Following the September 11th attacks, Howard announced over the air that he would be joining the Georgia State Defense Force. Howard co-hosted HLN’s Evening Express, a daily news and lifestyle compilation that aired weeknights, from 2012 to 2013.
Howard has previously aired a weekend show on HLN in 2009. The format was similar to Howard’s radio show in that the host gives callers guidance and money-saving techniques.
