She started her YouTube channel, BeyondBeautyStar, in 2010 and used the same name on Instagram. Her channel features videos about her fashion choices, beauty routines, travels, interior design endeavors, workouts, daily life, and wellness; she has since changed the display name of her channel to her full name, ‘Claudia Sulewski,’ as well as all of her social media accounts.
Sulewski eventually left YouTube with no explanation other than a vague declaration in her July 2022 “something needs to change…” video, in which she admitted her vlog lifestyle no longer felt authentic.
Sulewski and her boyfriend, musician Finneas O’Connell, started the podcast We Bought A House during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. They stopped doing the podcast soon after because, according to O’Connell, they were “sharing too much.”
She has also dabbled in fashion, collaborating with Nordstrom BP to launch a clothing line for which she served as the social media creative director, crafting the advertisements and creating her own lookbook.
She appeared in the TV series The Commute from 2016 to 2017, and the webseries T@gged from 2016 to 2018. She made an appearance in an episode of Marvel’s Runaways in 2019.
She will make her feature film debut in the 2022 film I Love My Dad, co-written and directed by James Morosini, and co-starring Patton Oswalt. On March 12, the film premiered at South by Southwest, where it won the Jury and Audience Awards in the Narrative Film Competition.
Sulewski also directed, filmed, and edited O’Connell’s “Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa” music video, which was released in July. The music video was shot in Paris, France, using an iPhone and a handycam.
