She has been a broadcast journalist since 1993, and her path was unusual, especially in this industry at the time. In 1990, Sachse began her career as a Metro Traffic reporter for a number of radio stations. Mix 96.5 hired me as a disc jockey, and I worked overnights and late nights for them. She jumped ship and went to Channel 2 for the morning traffic report. She gave it her all while there, filling in on the anchor desk one week.
