At the age of 20, Masolin completed an editorial intern program with the sports television network Sky Sport. She had her parents’ full support, and thanks to her work at Sky Sport, she was able to secure a position as a sideline volleyball journalist for both the Serie A1 Men’s League and the Serie A1 Women’s League.
Masolin started working as a sideline reporter for Sky Sport in 2009 and started covering the Serie A and Serie B football leagues. She frequently covered games featuring the clubs Genoa C.F.C. and U.C. Sampdoria, and she later hosted the broadcaster’s coverage of the 2011 Copa América.
Masolin also hosted the Euro Calcio Show, which featured international football leagues being broadcast in Italy.
She was sent to London by Sky Sport in 2012 to cover the Summer Olympics, and the following year, at the urging of several editors, she started hosting the Sky Sport24 show. Additionally, Masolin was deployed to Sochi to cover the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Following a meeting with a Sky director in Sochi in February of that year, she was appointed presenter of Sky Sport’s three-day event coverage of Formula One racing beginning with the 2014 season. She also oversaw the Ferrari racing team’s preseason presentations. Masolin reviewed the rules of the sport and discussed them with coworkers as part of his preparation for the position.
