Ivory’s reporting also helped WLEX earn an Associated Press award for outstanding newscast in Kentucky in 2014.
Hecker previously worked as a reporter for WACH, a FOX station in Columbia, South Carolina. She covered the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte for a dozen local affiliates across the country while she was there. Ivory was dispatched to Colorado Springs in 2013 to cover the Black Forest fire.
She began her career as a reporter at Syracuse’s CitrusTV. Hecker was picked for a paid internship at WBNG-TV in Binghamton, NY, by the New York State Broadcasters Association.
