Jericka Duncan Biography
Jericka Duncan is an American journalist, she is currently working at CBS News as a correspondent. Before joining the station she worked at KYW in Philadephia and  WIVB in Buffalo, New York. Duncan has been the station’s correspondent since 2013.

Duncan, a CBS News correspondent since 2013, has covered major stories such as allegations against R Kelly, Bill Cosby, and Harvey Weinstein, the shooting deaths of four Marines and a Navy sailor in Chattanooga, the 70th anniversary of D-Day and Normandy, and a variety of national breaking news stories. In 2018, she covered the White House in Washington, D.C.
Duncan most recently reported from Pennsylvania for the 2020 presidential election, interviewing Breonna Taylor’s mother and breaking the news to the CBS audience that no one would be charged directly in Taylor’s death.
She was also one of the first network correspondents to cover the passage of Alabama’s most restrictive abortion bill since Roe v. Wade. In 2018, she covered the White House in Washington, D.C. Duncan has also covered a number of national breaking news stories that have taken her out of the country.
Duncan is an Emmy-nominated journalist who has won several awards for her reporting, including two National Edward R. Murrow Awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association, as well as accolades from the Associated Press and the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists, which named her Journalist of the Year in 2012.
She spent three years at KYW, a CBS-owned TV station in Philadelphia, before joining CBS News. She won first place from the Associated Press for a series of reports on disabled adults who were held captive in a Social Security scam while working at KYW. Duncan was also on the ground for Hurricane Irene in 2011 and Superstorm Sandy in 2012.
Duncan previously worked as a reporter for WIVB (CBS) in Buffalo, New York, from 2007 to 2010. While there, she won a local Emmy Award for best morning show in 2008 for her winter storm coverage. She was one of the first reporters on the scene of a plane crash near Buffalo in 2009, which killed 50 people.
Her reporting helped the station win two national Edward M. Murrow Awards. She began her career in 2005 in nearby Elmira, N.Y., where she covered the manhunt for Ralph “Bucky” Phillips, the longest in state history. Duncan was named Best Spot News Coverage by the New York State Broadcasters Association in 2007.
