Trotter spent 18 years with The San Diego Union-Tribune before joining Sports Illustrated, including eight seasons as the Chargers’ senior beat reporter and four seasons as a national NFL columnist.

He is currently working on a book alongside Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals.
