Juliet Dragos is an American journalist, she is currently working at WZZM 13 News as a news anchor. She anchor the night newscasts at 5, 6 and 11 p.m. Dragos joined the station at April of 1991. She has been nominated for the “Athena Award,” which honors women who help other women advance in their careers.

Juliet began working as a nighttime anchor for WZZM 13 News in April 1991. She hosts the newscasts at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. She is also the station spokesperson for WZZM 13’s “Friends for Life” initiative, which promotes monthly breast self-exams to detect breast cancer early. She started the “Friends for Life” campaign in 1997 and has been the emcee and honorary co-chair of the “Race for the Cure” for nearly two decades.
“Special Olympics Michigan” is Juliet’s passion. She has served on the Board of Directors for five years and is currently the Board Chair. She has been the emcee of the Mt. Pleasant State Summer Games for over 20 years. Juliet also helps out at Special Olympics Michigan tournaments throughout the state.
She is also involved in the Brain Injury Association of Michigan, the American Cancer Society’s “Relay For Life,” the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan, and Catholic Charities West Michigan.
She has also served on the American Red Cross Blood Services Division, Great Lakes Region board of directors. For more than 25 years of dedicated devotion to the television industry, she was welcomed into the “Silver Circle” of the “National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences” in 2013. Juliet was nominated for an Emmy for her performance as a news anchor the same year.
Juliet was honored into her high school’s Alumni Hall of Fame in Western Pennsylvania in 2009. She has been nominated for the “Athena Award,” which honors women who help other women advance in their careers.
She has also received the “Professionalism Award” from American Women in Radio and Television, the “Local Hero Award” from Grand Rapids Komen for the Cure, the “Outstanding Media Award” from Special Olympics Michigan twice, and an award from the “Brain Injury Association of Michigan” for her many years of volunteer work in raising awareness of patients and families affected by brain injuries. Juliet has been recognized in publications such as “Outstanding Young Women of America” and “Who’s Who.”
