Three Georgia Association of Broadcasters Awards, one Georgia Associated Press Award, and one Georgia Association of Broadcasters Merit Award have been bestowed upon her.
When she was in fifth grade, she was a co-anchor for her elementary school’s news. Beasley began as their co-anchor before rising to the position of lead reporter and photojournalist. She was a key component of their award-winning high school football show.
Beasley left Fox 5’s “Good Day Atlanta” after eight years in June. She announced her departure from the station in April, saying, “I simply want to spend more mornings at home with my family.” I know how valuable this time with my children is, and I don’t want to waste it. So, for the time being, that means taking a step back from this career I enjoy in order to focus on being a wife and mother.”
