Katie Lee is an American cook and media personality, she is known for appearing on the Food Network. She is s co-host on Food Network’s talk show The Kitchen, and the host of Cooking Channel’s Beach Bites with Katie Lee.

Lee began cooking at the tender age of four, under the tutelage of her mentor Grandma Dora, using fresh vegetables from her grandfather’s garden and meat from the family’s cattle and pig farms.
Lee has worked in a number of restaurants as well as gourmet food and wine stores. She assisted in the opening of Jeff and Eddy’s Restaurant in 2003, where she worked as the house fishmonger.

Simon & Schuster published Lee’s first cookbook, The Comfort Table. Katie’s second cookbook, The Comfort Table: Recipes for Everyday Occasions, was published by Simon & Schuster in October 2009.
She writes a column for SELF and released her first novel, Groundswell, in 2011. Lee has worked as a food and lifestyle contributor for The Early Show and as a special correspondent for Extra.
She is also a contributing editor to Gotham magazine, and her culinary and lifestyle column, “Katie’s Kitchen,” appears weekly in its sister publication Hamptons.
Lee is a member of the Entertainment Council of Feeding America. She previously served on the council of Chefs for Humanity, an organization that provides humanitarian aid around the world. She has also volunteered for Les Dames d’Escoffier, an organization that educates and mentors female chefs.
