Melissa Reddy Biography
Melissa Reddy is a South African football journalist and author, she is known for working at Sky Sports and Sky Sports News a senior reporter. Before joining the news network she worked as a Senior Football Correspondent at The Independent.

Reddy moved to Cape Town in 2007 and joined TEAMtalk Media, where he worked across numerous sports before becoming Head of Football in 2011, before becoming Deputy Editor of KICK OFF Magazine, Africa’s largest sport newspaper. She was the first woman to hold such a position on both occasions, and she was also the first to appear as a football analyst on SuperSport’s flagship shows Backpages and Monday Night Football.
In November 2015, Reddy was appointed as the Liverpool Correspondent for Goal’s 38 editions worldwide. Reddy worked as an ESPN football correspondent, for The Athletic, and as the senior football correspondent at JOE before joining The Independent as Senior Football Correspondent in November 2019.
Reddy has appeared on Sky Sports News’ ‘Tackling Racism,’ the Sunday Supplement, Red Men TV, and the BBC’s Premier League Show. Reddy has also made appearances on BBC Radio Five Live.
Reddy has contributed to, guested on, and hosted shows on The Anfield Wrap. Reddy has also appeared on The Football Ramble and Second Captains, as well as BT Sport’s Football Writers Podcast.
Reddy launched her own podcast interview series, Between The Lines with Melissa Reddy, in 2020. Gary Lineker, Mauricio Pochettino, and Daniel Sturridge have all appeared as guests.
