Nick Wright is an American journalist, he is currently working at FOX Sports 1’s First Things First as a co-host. Before joining Fox Sports he worked at KILT 610 AM, a Houston-based radio station. Wight later came to join the network in 2016

Wright transitioned from sports radio to broadcast television when he began working for Fox Sports in 2016. His early work at Fox included regular contributions to the daily studio shows on FS1. He was a frequent guest host on The Herd. Wright and former wide receiver Cris Carter co-hosted an episode of The Herd in late December 2016, while regular host Colin Cowherd was on vacation.
Carter and Wright’s co-hosting venture was used by then-Fox Sports executive Jamie Horowitz to assess the potential of them co-hosting a daily morning sports talk show on FS1. According to Sporting News, the early morning block (6:00-9:30 AM EST) was “a black hole for FS1” at the time, as the network used it for game replays and reruns of other shows.
Carter and Wright were a successful pairing, as they were chosen to host FS1’s morning talk show First Things First, which debuted on September 5, 2017. Carter and Wright were joined on the show by reporter Jenna Wolfe, who serves as moderator and anchor.
First Things First also served as a pre-show for Skip and Shannon: Undisputed. Wright announced in 2018 that he would begin hosting What’s Wright, a weekday radio show on Sirius XM’s Mad Dog Radio. Wright began co-hosting his What’s Wright? podcast with his son, Damonza Byrd, in 2022.
