In the summer of 2020, former NFL Pro Bowl safety Harper secured a multi-year deal to join SEC Network, where he assumed the role of analyst on SEC Nation. Harper, who garnered accolades as an all-SEC performer for the Alabama Crimson Tide, now shares the screen with host Laura Rutledge and fellow analysts Tim Tebow, Paul Finebaum, and Jordan Rodgers on SECN’s flagship weekly show, which travels to different locations.
In addition to his role on SEC Nation, Harper co-hosts “Read & React” alongside former Auburn offensive lineman Cole Cubelic. He also makes regular appearances on various SEC Network studio programs, including SEC Now and The Paul Finebaum Show.
During his NFL career, Harper spent nine out of his 11 seasons with the New Orleans Saints. He was recently honored with induction into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame in 2020. Notably, Harper served as a team captain during the Saints’ Super Bowl XLIV victory. His tenure with the Saints spanned from 2006 to 2013, concluding his playing career with the organization in 2016. Harper also had stints with the Carolina Panthers for two seasons (2014-2015), contributing to the team’s journey to Super Bowl 50.
Transitioning to broadcasting, Harper served as a Saints analyst for WDSU in New Orleans for two seasons and worked with Charlotte’s FOX 46. Currently, he co-hosts “The Clubhouse Podcast” with Kyle Bailey, further solidifying his presence in the sports media landscape.
