Sara Donchey is an American journalist, she is currently working at CBS News as a news anchor. She previously worked at KPIX and KCAl 9. Sara anchors the 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. newscasts.

Sara, was born in Los Angeles and raised in Diamond Bar, graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Print and Online Journalism. She contributed to the student-run publication Golden Gate Xpress during her time there. In addition to writing news and sports reports, she served as the paper’s Online Managing Editor and Editorial Cartoonist.
Sara moved to South Texas after college and her stint at KPIX to work as a multimedia journalist for KRIS-TV and KZTV, a duopoly station in Corpus Christi. She reported for the evening newscasts and hosted the weekend evening shows on the station.
Sara moved to Houston in 2015 to work as an anchor and reporter for KPRC-TV, where she anchored the 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. broadcasts. Sara covered two Super Bowls, the 2016 Dallas Police shooting, and the San Bernardino terror attack during her time at KPRC. She also anchors nonstop breaking news coverage during Hurricane Harvey, travels to Mexico to cover the NFL, and visits the hometown of MLB star Carlos Correa in Puerto Rico.
