Sophie, who was born and raised in the Lower Mainland, has always been obsessed with news. She attended BCIT, where she earned her degree in broadcast radio. She then worked at a number of news radio stations, including CKNW, CKIQ-Kelowna, and CFAX-Victoria, before switching to television news at CHEK-TV in Victoria and later relocating to Vancouver to work at Global BC.
