Tanya Kim Biography
Tanya Kim is a Canadian media personality, she is known for working as a host for etalk from 2003 to 2014. She worked as a cameraman at MuchMusic before becoming a music reporter for CTV’s The Chatroom and a special correspondent for Canadian Idol for two seasons.

Kim has covered red carpets like the Juno Awards and the Academy Awards on etalk, as well as special events such as Live 8 and Live Earth. For the third year in a row, Kim sponsored We Day in favor of Free The Children.
In 2005, she hosted etalk Playlist, a six-episode chart show/concert miniseries that built on etalk’s Playlist feature. The series was aired live from the Masonic Temple performance hall to a studio audience. Live studio performances, interviews, news, and chart reviews were all part of the 30-minute presentations.
Kim traveled to Vancouver in February 2010 with etalk host Ben Mulroney and etalk reporters Leah Miller, Elaine Lui, Susie Wall, and Jeanne Beker to cover the 2010 Olympic Winter Games for CTV. Bell Media, which owns CTV, laid her off in November 2014.
She returned to CityTV in 2015 as the host of Entertainment City and Your World This Week. Kim confirmed his retirement from City in August 2017. Kim has appeared in Puppets Who Kill, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Instant Star, and the Mariah Carey film Glitter, in addition to her work on etalk.
