Susan Hendricks is an American journalist, she is currently an anchor for HLN and a substitute anchor for CNN. Prior to working at HLN, she was a reporter at ABC affiliate KESQ-TV in Palm Springs and a morning show anchor at NBC affiliate station WMIR-TV in Palm Springs, California.

Hendricks met her inspiration at KESQ, where she also conducted an interview with Walter Cronkite for a story on the station.
She joined the NBC affiliate KMIR where she hosted a two-hour morning show after working in the industry for two years. After working for KMIR for a while, she moved to Atlanta and joined CNN Headline News, where she also served as the anchor for the weekend and primetime newscasts. She reported on breaking news. Hendricks worked as a correspondent for entertainment news. She also hosted a CNN interactive news site on CNN.com while she worked for CNN.
Hendricks relocated from Atlanta to Los Angeles in order to work on a DirecTV interactive news channel. Her workload and restricted exposure to the public persuaded her to rejoin Headline News in September 2005, though. In March 2019, seasoned HLN journalist Susan Hendricks took over as host of the network’s Weekend Express live newscast.
Hendricks has worked on a variety of projects for HLN, including “Cold Case: The Delphi Murders,” an investigative program that focused on the killings of adolescents Abigail Williams and Liberty German and generated a spike of nearly 1,200 leads for police.
