Alex Cullen is an Australian journalist, he is currently working as a news presenter at Today Network Nines breakfast show. Cullen joined the Nine Network in November 2019 after the Seven Network discontinued Sunday Night.

Cullen started working as a reporter for Prime News in Wagga Wagga at the beginning of 2003. Later, he relocated to Western Australia where he worked as a reporter for Golden West News in Kalgoorlie and Bunbury, where he later rose to the position of sports presenter for GWN7. After that, he started working for Seven News in Perth in 2006 before switching to Sunrise in 2007 to become a sports producer. Cullen made his way back onto the television six months later as a general reporter for Seven News in Sydney.
Cullen was hired as a weekend sports presenter in late 2007, and after Matt White left to show Today Tonight, he became a weeknight sports presenter in January 2009. Cullen has worked for ABC Local Radio, 2BS, B-Rock FM, and 2GB in addition to Seven Network.
In April 2010, Tony Squires took over as the evening sports presenter on Seven News Sydney, while Cullen was elevated to reporter for Seven’s Sunday Night Public Affairs show.
Cullen joined the Nine Network in November 2019 after the Seven Network discontinued Sunday Night, it was announced. Later, it was revealed that Alex would work for the Nine Network and guest-host Today throughout the summer. The Nine Network announced in December 2019 that Cullen would join Today as a sport presenter beginning in January 2020, taking Tony Jones’ place.
