Alexis Mcadams is an American journalist, she is known for currently serving as the General Assignment Reporter for ABC, WLS-Channel 7 since November 2018. Alexis joined the network in 2020 and has served as a reporter for FOX59 and CBS4 News before joining ABC, WLS-Channel 7.
Prior to joining FOX59 and CBS4 News she worked as a lead reporter and weekend anchor at WTVO-TV and WQRF-TV in Rockford, Illinois.

Alexis McAdams is a correspondent for the Fox News Channel stationed in New York City. In January 2020, she became a member of the network. McAdams most recently gave live coverage of Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial in Kenosha, Wisconsin, including reporting from outside the Kenosha County Courthouse as the decision was reached in November 2021. She met down with Wendy Rittenhouse, Kyle Rittenhouse’s mother, for an interview after the verdict.
McAdams began her career in 2018 as a reporter for ABC affiliate WLS-TV in Chicago, Illinois, where she covered the city’s crime beat. She also covered big breaking news stories across the Midwest, including natural disasters, mass shootings, and major court cases, as well as substantial coverage of the Chicago protests following the election.
McAdams previously worked as a general assignment reporter for WXIN/WTTV, a FOX affiliate station in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she was the lead reporter on the Delphi murder case.
Since November 2018, Alexis has worked as a General Assignment Reporter for ABC’s WLS-Channel 7. She formerly worked as a reporter for FOX59 and CBS4 News before joining ABC’s WLS-Channel 7. In April of 2015, she began working at the two television stations. Alexis worked as an intern for FOX Chicago News and WGN-TV at one point. She also worked as a Field Producer for WGN-“Very TV’s Chicago’s Own” program on a weekly basis.
The Illinois News Broadcasters Association recognized her with the Student Silver Dome Award for “Best Newscast 2013.” Alexis worked as a lead reporter and weekend anchor for WTVO-TV and WQRF-TV in Rockford, Illinois, prior to joining FOX59 and CBS4 News. She enjoys writing about a variety of topics and is a die-hard Chicago sports fan. Alexis spends her free time participating in competitive sports, taking holidays, and meeting new people.
