Allison Chinchar is an American journalist, she is currently working a CNN as a meteorologist. Before she joined the network she worked at local stations in Atlanta, Nashville, and Chattanooga. Chinchar later came to CNN in 2015.

She has covered hurricanes, blizzards, flooding events, and wildfires, and she was nominated for an Emmy for her coverage of Hurricane Dorian, which hit the Bahamas in 2019. She also covered the April 2011 Super Tornado Outbreak, in which over 350 tornadoes struck the Southeastern United States in just four days, with over 200 of those occurring on April 27th alone.
She is a member of several organizations, including the American Meteorological Society, the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society, the National Weather Association, and the International Association of Broadcast Meteorology.
