Andrew Chang Biography
Andrew Chang is a Canadian journalist, he is currently working at CBC News as the co-anchor of The National. He joined the station in 2004 as a researcher and spent a decade at CBC Montreal.

Chang began her career with the CBC in 2004 as a researcher at CBC Montreal. He was a member of the CBC’s Winter Olympics broadcast team in 2014. He was the anchor of CBC Vancouver’s News at 6 from 2014 to 2017. Chang previously co-hosted The National with Adrienne Arsenault in Toronto. He has also hosted local and national shows such as CBC Vancouver News at Six, The Current, and CBC News Now.
Chang spent a successful decade with CBC Montreal, most recently as co-host of the CBC Montreal supper-time newscast. He covered a number of memorable events in Montreal’s history, including the 2011 federal election night special, which saw the unprecedented rise of the NDP in the province and the subsequent collapse of the Bloc Québécois; the 2012 election-night assassination attempt on Pauline Marois; and he was the first, among local English television networks, to inform Montrealers about the assassination of mafia godfather Niccolo Rizzuto Senior.
He previously worked as a chief staff reporter for the CBC, covering breaking news at both the local and national levels, including the Dawson College shootings, the collapse of the de la Concorde overpass in Laval, and a month-long stint on the Parti Québécois campaign bus during the 2008 provincial election.
Andrew was also working as a video journalist at the time, interviewing various newsmakers, writing and reporting, and shooting and editing video. Andrew spent years behind the camera, producing both news and feature-length reports. Chang was a member of the CBC Olympic broadcast team in 2014, 2016, 2020, and 2022.
