Carla Hall is an American chef and media personality, she is known for featuring on Top Chef. She currently co-host on The Chew, a one-hour talk show centered on food.

Hall then worked as a model on the runways of Paris, Milan, and London for several years. During this period, she chose to pursue a profession in the culinary arts. Hall’s big break came when she was chosen to compete on Top Chef: New York in 2008.
Initially, her dishes finished in the middle of most shows, but she had the highest-rated dish for the Thanksgiving challenge. She won Super Bowl XLIII tickets after impressing the judges with her crawfish gumbo in Episode 10. Following that, she won two additional challenges and finished first in several more.
Hall achieved popularity on the show for her charisma, despite not winning Fan Favorite in her season. She became famous for her call-and-response catchphrase “Hootie Hoo!” which she and her husband used to find each other in public.
Hall has been one of the five cohosts on The Chew, an ABC one-hour show concentrating on food from all sides, since the inaugural episode broadcast on September 26, 2011. The show took the place of All My Children. Hall was a cohost of the show until it was cancelled in 2018.
