India Willoughby is an English journalist and media personality, she is known for being the first transgender to co-host of an all-women talk show, Loose Women on ITV.

Prior to her transition, Willoughby worked as a TV reporter for ITV Border, where she delivered the news in the North East and Cumbria. She re-joined ITV Border in 2016 as an on-screen reporter before transferring to ITV Tyne Tees on a three-month contract.
She began reading the noon and evening reports for 5News on Channel 5 in 2017, making history as the nation’s first transgender newsreader. In the same year, Priscilla Presley and Russell Watson invited Willoughby to appear as a guest on ITV’s Loose Women to share her tale. However, after the audience’s positive reaction, she was welcomed back to co-host the program.
Willoughby participated in Celebrity Big Brother – Year of the Woman on Channel 5 in January 2018.

On BBC Woman’s Hour in 2017, Willoughby was the subject of an interview with veteran host Jenni Murray. Willoughby said “Yes” when Murray questioned whether she saw herself as a true woman. Then Murray questioned whether it was challenging to discuss women’s issues on a show with only women (Loose Women). “No, because I have always been a woman,” Willoughby retorted.
