Jadiann Thompson is an American journalist, she is currently working at 7 News as a news anchor. She appears on the 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 9 p.m. weekday newscasts. Before joining the station she worked at KSHB TV in Kansas City. Thompson joined 7 News in June of 2015.

Thompson began working for 7News in June of 2015. Jadiann previously worked as the 6 p.m. weekday anchor for Kansas City’s NBC affiliate, KSHB TV.
She previously worked as a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor at KPHO-TV in Phoenix, Arizona. She received her first Emmy for a report on WiFi hacking. Jadiann spent time in Phoenix covering the country’s self-proclaimed toughest sheriff, Joe Arpaio, as well as the Jodi Arias trial.
She covered immigration reform extensively and spent nearly two weeks on the front lines of Arizona’s largest wildfire in state history, the Wallow Fire.
Thompson began her career in television news at Casper, Wyoming’s KTWO-TV. Within a year of joining KTWO as a multimedia journalist, she was promoted to executive producer and main anchor of the station’s 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscasts. She also worked as the station’s assistant news director.
She reported for the evening newscasts in addition to anchoring every weekday. Jadiann was a multimedia journalist many of those days, which meant she ran her own camera while reporting. Her favorite days were when the anchoring of the 6 p.m. newscast began with a story she pitched, shot, wrote, and edited.
