Joe Fryer is an American journalist, he is currently working as a correspondent for NBC News West Coast Bureau. He joined NBC News in 2013 as a part-time correspondent. Before joining the station worked for KARE-TV, WTVF-TV, WBAY-TV.

He contributes to all NBC News platforms, including Today, NBC Nightly News, and MSNBC. Fryer worked as a reporter for KING-TV, an NBC affiliate in Seattle, Washington, before joining NBC.
Fryer has held positions with KARE-TV in Minneapolis, MN; WTVF in Nashville, TN; WBAY in Green Bay, WI; and WKYT in Lexington, KY. Together with photographer Jeff Christian, Fryer won an Emmy in the “Feature News Report” category in 2014. For his composite “Fryer’s Favorite Features,” he also took home the prize in the writing category.
