Kevin Burkhardt is an American sportscaster, he is known for being the play-by-play voices for the NFL on Fox, the Tampa Bay Rays on Fox Sports Sun. He was a former reporter at SportsNet New York (SNY).

Burkhardt is the anchor of FOX Sports’ Major League Baseball studio coverage and the play-by-play announcer for the network’s NFL and MLB coverage. He also works for FOX Sports as a studio presenter and play-by-play commentator for college basketball. Burkhardt will be joined by commentator and former NFL tight end Greg Olsen, as well as longtime reporter Pam Oliver, for the 2021 NFL season.
Since 2014, Burkhardt has served as the principal studio anchor of the network’s famed MLB Postseason programming. In 2013, he joined FOX Sports as an NFL play-by-play commentator, sharing the booth with nine-time NFL Pro Bowler John Lynch.
From 2017 to 2019, he worked alongside Charles Davis, and in 2020, he worked alongside three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl “Moose” Johnston. In 2019, he worked as a game announcer for FOX Sports Sun, a cable network.
He was a regular on the radio before joining FOX Sports. He worked for Compass Media before joining the Dallas Cowboys as a national announcer from 2011 to 2012.
Burkhardt rose to prominence as a SportsNet New York (SNY) field reporter for New York Mets broadcasts in 2007. Play-by-play duties for select Spring Training and regular season games, pre- and postgame shows, and hosting the off-season program “Mets Hot Stove” steadily enlarged his role.
Hosting “SNY Spotlight” and reporting for “SportsNite” were among his other responsibilities at SNY. Burkhardt was also a regular guest on SNY’s “Jets Extra Point” and “Daily News Live,” as well as regular parts on CN8’s nightly “Out of Bounds” program in Philadelphia.
Burkhardt got a break working part-time shifts on sports updates at WCBS-AM in New York City while working at a local auto dealership in 2003, and decided to give his ambition of making a profession as a sports announcer one last shot. Burkhardt had previously worked in local radio, including four years as a minor league baseball announcer for an independent team.
He went on to work for WFAN, the country’s largest sports radio, where he provided 20/20 updates and contributed as a New York Jets reporter. Burkhardt has appeared as a celebrity advocate for Pine Belt Chevrolet, his former workplace, in Eatontown, New Jersey, after breaking into sports broadcasting.
