Daftari left NBC in 2007 after receiving his degree to work as a researcher for a number of think tanks that concentrated on the Middle East and counterterrorism. She participated in a number of Iran divestment hearings held by the California State Assembly. She presented a 100-page report on Iranian youth movements till the end of that year.
Beginning in 2009, Daftari started making appearances on the Fox News Channel to offer commentary on events in the Middle East, particularly Iran. She now routinely makes appearances on the network’s different radio and television shows. She started “The Foreign Desk” in 2015, a website devoted to covering international news with a focus on how it affects human rights, international security, and American foreign policy.
