Gonzalez began her media career in 2005 as a reporter and anchor at News 12 Networks in The Bronx. She moved back to Florida and started working as a reporter and weekend anchor for West Palm Beach, Florida’s WPTV-TV.
In June 2022, Gonzalez started working as a morning anchor for KCAL News. She had previously worked as a freelance correspondent for CBS News after eight years as an ABC News correspondent. She traveled extensively while filling that position, reporting on some of the most significant events in the world, such as the passing of Fidel Castro and Nelson Mandela, the Paris terrorist attacks, the 2013 Papal conclave at the Vatican, and the Kilauea volcanic eruption in Hawaii.
Additionally, she filled in as an anchor for “World News Now” and “America This Morning.” Prior to that, Gonzalez spent a remarkable 4.5 years as an anchor/reporter at WPTV in West Palm Beach, Florida, and worked as a reporter and stand-in anchor at WABC in New York City. She began her career as a “one-man-band” reporter and weekend anchor at News 12 The Bronx in New York.
