Mika Brzezinski is an American media personality, author and liberal political commentator, she is known for co-hosting Morning Joe on MSNBC. She previously worked at CBS as a News correspondent.

In 1990, Brzezinski started her media career as an assistant at ABC’s World News This Morning. She relocated to Hartford, Connecticut’s Fox affiliate WTIC-TV/WTIC-DT, which is owned by Tribune, a year later. From then, she moved up to general assignments reporter from assignment and features editor.
In September 2001, she rejoined CBS News as a desk journalist, which catapulted her into prominence as a primary “Ground Zero” reporter during the September 11 attacks. When the South Tower collapsed, Brzezinski was conducting a live broadcast from the area.
On January 26, 2007, Brzezinski made a comeback to MSNBC, hosting the evening “Up to the Minute” news updates. She later worked weekday primetime newsbreaks. Additionally, she occasionally anchors Weekend Today and contributes reports to NBC Nightly News.
Brzezinski has co-hosted and read the news on MSNBC’s Morning Joe with Joe Scarborough and Willie Geist ever since the show’s start. On June 26, 2007, Brzezinski refused to read an item regarding Paris Hilton’s release from jail near the start of Morning Joe. Similar to how she resisted being pressured to report on Lindsay Lohan and Levi Johnston on July 7, 2010, she did so on air.
