Acosta-Ruiz began working for NFL Network in September 2018 as an Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers reporter stationed in the Bay Area. Acosta-Ruiz worked as the lead sports anchor for NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 in San Diego for three seasons before joining NFL Network.
There, she covered the Chargers. Acosta-Ruiz worked as a reporter for WPLG in Miami and Fort Lauderdale for three years before joining NBC 7 and Telemundo, covering sports, entertainment, and breaking news.
Acosta worked as a sports reporter for WPLG-TV, the ABC station in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, before joining Telemundo 20. Since joining Telemundo 20 in San Diego in 2016, Acosta has covered the NFL’s San Diego Chargers as a correspondent.
Acosta made the announcement that she would be leaving Telemundo 20 in San Diego to work for NFL Network as a Bay Area-based correspondent for the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders in August 2018.
