She then returned to the United States to cover Hurricane Irma as it made landfall in Florida.

In 2015, she was stationed in Jerusalem, where she reported on subjects ranging from Gaza to Saudi Arabia. For a Nightline story called Caught in the Crossfire, which followed ten Syrians inside war-torn Syria, she was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Feature Story in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast.
