She is thrilled to be returning to her hometown of Southern California and joining the KTLA family. Megan joins KTLA from KXTV in Sacramento, where she spent two years anchoring “Morning Blend.”
Megan, who was born in West Covina and raised in Rancho Cucamonga, describes herself as a “army brat,” owing to her father’s 21 years of service in the United States Army. Megan has lived in Wiesbaden, Germany, Fort Rucker, Alabama, and Savannah, Georgia, and takes pride in her ability to count to ten in German.
She previously worked as a national entertainment correspondent for the syndicated “Celebrity Page TV” in Las Vegas, where she interviewed Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, and Lionel Richie. Megan worked as a reporter, anchor, and daytime talk-show host at KTNV, the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas, at the same time she was on “Celebrity Page TV.”
Megan developed a strong interest in breaking news after living through several tornado seasons in Alabama. She recalls being glued to the radio, “reporting” wind speeds while her family sought refuge in the hallway closet. The Emmy winner is a Los Osos High School and University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism graduate. She is a National Association of Hispanic Journalists member.
