Ryan Ruocco is an American sportscaster, he is known for working at ESPN as a play-by-play announcer for the NBA and WNBA. He joined ESPN in 2008.

Most recently, he was chosen to work with Rebecca Lobo and Holly Rowe as the primary play-by-play commentator for women’s college basketball. Ruocco is a primary play-by-play announcer for ESPN’s NBA coverage and has been the network’s principal WNBA play-by-play commentator since 2013.
Along with college football play-by-play on ESPN’s broadcast networks, Ruocco’s portfolio also includes sporadic NFL play-by-play on ESPN Radio. Ruocco co-hosted the midday program on ESPN New York Radio earlier in his career.
He was actively involved in Fordham University’s prestigious radio station, WFUV, where he presented “One on One,” New York’s longest-running sports call-in program. For the basketball, football, and baseball games played by Fordham, Ruocco provided play-by-play commentary and color analysis. Ruocco received the coveted Marty Glickman Award, named after the legendary play-by-play broadcaster, from Fordham in 2008.
Ruocco also covers events for ESPN and has been a YES Network pundit for a long time. For the Brooklyn Nets telecasts, Ruocco serves as the principal play-by-play commentator. For the New York Yankees, he performs a number of duties, including play-by-play, pre- and post-game hosting, and clubhouse reporting. For his coverage of the Yankees and Nets on YES, Ruocco received individual New York Emmy nominations in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
