Scobell had a successful audition in August 2020 to play the younger version of Ryan Reynolds’ character in the Netflix movie The Adam Project. After seeing the Deadpool movie several times as a child, he put on an amazing impression of Reynolds, which helped him land the role against fierce competition from other young actors.
November 2020 saw the start of filming in Vancouver, and the film was finally released in March 2022. A reviewer praised Scobell’s portrayal of a faultless younger Reynolds, pointing out the flawless on-screen interplay between the two actors. Scobell’s performance was well acclaimed.
